Baseball places eight on Academic All-Conference Team

Belton, TX— The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team placed eight players on the American Southwest Conference Spring All-Conference Team, released today. To be eligible for the ASC Academic All-Conference Team, a player must be a sophomore, junior or senior and have attended the school for a full year. The student-athlete must also earn a letter and maintain at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
Ricky Brenek is a junior outfielder/pitcher and economics major from Rogers High School. Andy Evans is a sophomore pitcher and sport management major from Linden-Kildare High School. Doak Fleming is a senior infielder and sport management major from Winnsboro High School. Kyle Flynn is a senior shortstop and sport management major from Clear Lake High School. David Keil is a senior pitcher and marketing major from Alpha Omega Academy in Huntsville. Seth Lynn is a sophomore first baseman/pitcher and sport management major from Katy Taylor High School. Eli Rosario is a sophomore outfielder and accounting major from Killeen Ellison High School. Josh Shaw is a junior outfielder and exercise and sport science major from Salado High School.This is the third Academic All-Conference honor for Fleming, Keil and Shaw. Brenek is a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree. This is the first Academic All-Conference selection for Evans, Flynn, Lynn and Rosario.
The Cru finished the 2010 season with a 22-19 overall record and went 13-8 in ASC West Division play. UMHB advanced to the ASC Tournament for the fourth straight season before falling to Mississippi College in the opening round of the tournament.
