Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team’s home opener, originally scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, has been postponed one day due to the wet conditions in Central Texas. Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s basketball player Lindsay Eaton has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Week for the week ending February 7th. Eaton, a junior forward from Lake Travis High School, takes ASC West Division Player of the Week honors for the second straight week. She averaged 22.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in leading the UMHB women to pair of crucial ASC West Division wins last week. Eaton opened the week with a 17-point, seven-rebound performance in the Cru’s 74-60 win over McMurry. She followed with a season-high 27 points and also grabbed five rebounds in an 82-70 win over Hardin-Simmons. Eaton had four assists in each game and also totaled three steals and a blocked shot as the UMHB women stretched their winning streak to 13 consecutive games.

Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor running back Quincy Daniels will return for another season with the Cru football team in 2010 the senior from Belton announced on Friday. Daniels will graduate in May, but he has one more year of eligibility remaining after receiving a medical hardship after a knee injury cost him the final 12 games of the 2008 season. Daniels will enroll in graduate school at UMHB and begin work on his Master’s Degree this fall and return for one more season with the Cru.

Tyler, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team broke open a close game with an eight-run third inning and the Cru held off a late U.T.-Tyler comeback in a 12-7 victory over the Patriots Saturday night in Tyler. UMHB improves to 3-1 on the season with the victory and the Cru knocked off U.T.-Tyler for the second time this weekend. The Patriots fall to 1-2 on the season with the loss.

Tyler, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team could not hold on to a late lead and the Cru lost an 8-7 heartbreaker to U.T.-Dallas Saturday afternoon in Tyler. The loss drops UMHB to 2-1 on the season. The Comets move to 1-1 on the season with the victory.

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s tennis team won three titles and lost in the title match of another as the Cru closed out play at the Cru Spring Classic Saturday afternoon in Belton. The UMHB men posted wins at flight two singles, flight three singles and flight one doubles. The Cru also had a player fall in the championship match of flight one singles.
