Abilene, TX— The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's basketball team mounted a furious second-half comeback for the second straight game, but this time the rally fell just short in a 75-71 loss to McMurry University Saturday afternoon in Abilene. The 6th-ranked Cru falls to 16-1 overall and 12-1 in American Southwest Conference play with the loss. The season-opening, 16-game winning streak for UMHB is the second longest winning streak in the history of the Cru men's basketball program.

Abilene, TX— The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's basketball team was in striking range in both halves, but late cold spells prevented the Cru from completing a rally in a 65-45 loss to McMurry University Saturday in Abilene. The UMHB women fall to 2-15 overall and 1-12 in American Southwest Conference play with the loss.

Abilene, TX— The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's basketball team gave up the first 11 points of the game, but the Cru stormed back with a huge second-half rally to edge Hardin-Simmons University 75-73 in an overtime thriller Thursday night in Abilene. UMHB, ranked 6th in the country by D3hoops.com, improves to 16-0 overall and 12-0 in American Southwest Conference play with the victory.

Abilene, TX— The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's basketball team scored the game's first six points, but the Cru could not hold that early lead in a 63-47 loss to Hardin-Simmons University Thursday evening in Abilene. The loss drops the UMHB women to 2-14 overall and 1-11 in American Southwest Conference play on the season. The Cowgirls improve to 7-8 overall and 5-6 in the ASC on the year with the victory.

Men's Basketball
Thomas hit a pair of clutch free throws with 2.1 seconds left in overtime to give the Cru a 75-73 victory over Hardin-Simmons last week. He averaged 13.0 points per game and added a season-high 15 points to keep UMHB in the game in a narrow 75-71 loss to McMurry University.
Miranda Shorter
Women's Basketball
Miranda averaged 9.5 points per game over two contests last weekend. She is one of just three seniors on this year's team. Miranda has started 16 of the Cru's 17 games and she currently ranks third on the team in scoring.
