Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s tennis player Mallory Aarhus has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Week for the week ending March 14th. Aarhus, a sophomore from Georgetown High School, posted wins at #2 singles and #1 doubles for the Cru in a 5-4 loss to Methodist University last week. Aarhus stormed back from an opening set loss to post a 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 win at #2 singles and she teamed with her twin sister, Megan, for an 8-1 victory at #1 doubles for the Cru women.
The UMHB women are currently 5-3 overall this spring. The Cru will return to action with a non-conference match against Our Lady of the Lake University Saturday in San Antonio.
