Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s tennis team placed all six players on the American Southwest Conference All-West Division teams released today. Sophomore Megan Aarhus was also voted the ASC West Division Player of the Year. The Cru women had a doubles team and one singles player voted to the All-Conference Team, put two singles player and a doubles team on the All-West Division First Team, had three singles players and two doubles teams voted Second Team All-West Division and had one Honorable Mention All-West Division singles player.

Tyler, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s tennis team could not capitalize on a win at #1 doubles and the Cru women fell to U.T.-Tyler 5-1 in the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament Semifinals Saturday in Tyler. The UMHB women end the season with a 12-6 record and the Cru falls to U.T.-Tyler in the ASC semis for the third straight year. U.T.-Tyler, ranked 28th in the nation, improves to 15-3 on the season with the victory. The Patriots will now advance to tomorrow’s Championship Match against Hardin-Simmons University.

Ennis, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s tennis team swept through the doubles matches and then grabbed two quick singles victories to post a 5-0 win over U.T.-Dallas in an American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament Quarterfinal match Friday in Ennis. The UMHB women improve to 12-5 on the spring with the victory. The Cru will now advance to tomorrow’s semifinals to take on tournament host U.T.-Tyler (14-3) in an 11:00 AM match. The winner of tomorrow’s semifinal will advance to Sunday’s Championship match with an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Championships on the line. The loss ends U.T.-Dallas’ season at 5-8.

Ennis, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s and women’s tennis team’s quarterfinal matches at the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament have been moved to the Lion Tennis Center in Ennis due to heavy rain in Tyler. The time schedule may have to change accordingly.

Tyler, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s and women’s tennis teams have both clinched bids to the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament and the Cru men and women will both open postseason play Friday in Tyler. The ASC Tournament will run from Friday through Sunday at the Summers Tennis Center and will be hosted by the University of Texas at Tyler.

Athletes of the Week
Mark Miller
Men's Soccer
Mark was voted ASC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in leading the Cru to a pair of victories last week. He posted shutouts over Southwestern University and 16th-ranked Trinity University. Mark finished with 17 total saves and he now has 14 shutouts over the last two seasons. The Cru is currently ranked 11th in the nation in the NSCAA/HedrickCars.com Top 25 Poll, the highest national ranking in the history of the program.
Tina Miller
Women's Volleyball
Tina led the Cru in kills over six matches last week. She reached double figures in kills in four of the Cru's six matches and averaged 3.27 kills per set. Miller's ,217 hitting percentage is one of the highest on the team this season.
