Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball player Megan Bohne has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Hitter of the Week for the week ending March 14th. Bohne, a junior infielder/designated player from A&M Consolidated High School, batted .571 for the Cru last week, going 8-14 in a four-game sweep of Howard Payne University. Bohne hit two home runs and a double, drove in three runs and scored nine. She also walked five times in the four games.
            The Cru softball team is currently 7-5 overall and 4-0 in ASC West Division play. UMHB returns to action this afternoon with a doubleheader at California Lutheran. That doubleheader opens a stretch of eight games in four days in California for the Cru softball team.

Max has been named of 112 finalists for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. He has helped organize the UMHB Sole 2 Soul campaign each of the past two years. That campaign has helped raise nearly $3,300 and four boxes of shoes for donation to orphans in Haiti. Max is also a Preseason All-American and one of the team leaders for the Cru football program on and off the field.

Sara has been elected to serve as President of the UMHB Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The junior is also a standout on the court for the Cru volleyball team and she will be counted on to serve as a team leader in addition to her duties as SAAC President.
