Jessica Oliver singled home a run and Caitlin Bollier added an RBI double as the Cru opened up a 4-0 lead in the top of the third. Kelsey Greeson added an RBI single and scored on Oliver’s RBI double as UMHB stretched it to 6-0 in the top of the fourth. HPU grabbed a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first before Dana Criswell’s RBI single pulled UMHB to within 2-1 in the top of the second. The Yellow Jackets added four more in the bottom of the third for a 6-1 lead before the Cru comeback started. UMHB scored two runs on errors in the top of the fifth to cut it to 6-3 and pulled to within 6-5 with Johnston’s two-run single in the top of the sixth. In the top of the seventh inning, the Yellow Jackets intentionally walked Bohne to load the bases and Brittany Moreno followed with a three-run, two-out triple to give UMHB an 8-6 lead. White pitched out of a two-on, one-out jam in the bottom of the seventh to nail down the victory and raise her record to 5-1.
