Men's soccer to host Spring Break Camp

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s soccer team will host a Spring Break camp for boys and girls ages 12 and under. The UMHB men will also hold a free one-day soccer camp as a community service project. Both of the camps will be led by UMHB men’s soccer coach Brad Bankhead and a staff of Cru soccer players and all of the sessions will be held at the Cru Soccer Complex on the UMHB campus.
            The free, one-day camp will be held Saturday, March 6th, from 4:00-6:00 PM. There is no registration form or fee for the camp, but those interested are requested to call Coach Bankhead at (254) 295-5553 or e-mail him at brad.bankhead@umhb.edu to RSVP for the camp.

            The Spring Break Soccer Camp will be held March 15-18 from 1:00-4:00 PM each day. Cost of the Spring Break Camp is $50 per person and campers also attending the March 6th camp can receive a $5 discount on the Spring Break Camp. Players should bring a soccer ball, soccer shoes, shin guards, tennis shoes, snacks and sunscreen to the camp.

Thomas Orr
Men's Basketball
Thomas hit a pair of clutch free throws with 2.1 seconds left in overtime to give the Cru a 75-73 victory over Hardin-Simmons last week. He averaged 13.0 points per game and added a season-high 15 points to keep UMHB in the game in a narrow 75-71 loss to McMurry University.
Miranda Shorter
Women's Basketball
Miranda averaged 9.5 points per game over two contests last weekend. She is one of just three seniors on this year's team. Miranda has started 16 of the Cru's 17 games and she currently ranks third on the team in scoring.
