Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football team dropped 10 spots to #13 in the country in this week’s American Football Coaches Association’s Top 25 Poll. The Cru picked up votes totaling 442 points to fall from #3 in the country following Saturday’s 17-14 loss at Mississippi College. The Choctaws entered the AFCA Top 25 Poll at #20 this week with 237 points. Defending national champion Mount Union is #1 again with 39 first-place votes and 999 total points. Wisconsin-Whitewater is ranked 2nd with one first-place vote and 960 total points.
The Cru dropped five spots to #8 in the country in this week’s D3football.com Top 25 Poll. UMHB received votes totaling 393 points in the D3football.com Poll this week. Mississippi College entered the D3football.com Top 25 Poll at #15 this week.

“We have a real gut check for our players this week,” Cru head coach Pete Fredenburg said. “We need to take this setback and have a comeback. Our guys are going to have to put that behind them and get back to work and get ready to play.”

UMHB is 5-1 overall and 4-1 in ASC play following the loss to Mississippi College last Saturday. The Cru will now return home to host Southern Oregon University (2-5) in the final non-conference game of the season this Saturday. That game will kick off at 1:00 PM at Tiger Field.
