Abilene, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s basketball team never trailed in the second half and the Cru rolled to its 11th straight victory with a 68-60 win over Hardin-Simmons University Saturday afternoon in Abilene. The UMHB women improve to 15-4 overall and 12-3 in American Southwest Conference play with the win. The 11-game winning streak is the longest for the Cru women since the program made the move to NCAA Division III play beginning with the 1998-1999 season. The loss drops the Cowgirls to 10-8 overall and 7-7 in the ASC on the year.

Abilene, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s basketball team built a double-digit first half lead and the Cru would not allow McMurry to get back into the game as UMHB posted a 73-62 victory over McMurry Thursday night in Abilene. The Cru women improve to 14-4 overall and 11-3 in American Southwest Conference play with the victory. The UMHB women have now won ten straight games to hold on to sole possession of first place in the ASC West Division. The loss drops McMurry to 10-7 overall and 7-6 in the ASC on the season.

UMHB improves to 12-4 overall and 9-3 in American Southwest Conference play with its eighth straight victory. The Cru women also take over sole possession of first place in the ASC West Division with the win. TLU falls to 8-7 overall and 7-5 in the ASC with the loss.

The UMHB women improve to 11-4 overall and 8-3 in American Southwest Conference play with their seventh straight victory. The loss drops Howard Payne to 12-3 overall and 8-3 in the ASC and the two teams are now tied for first place in the ASC West Division.

Women's Basketball
Lindsay is this week's ASC West Division Player of the Week after averaging 19 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game last week in giving the UMHB women their first-ever two-game sweep on the Abilene road trip. She poured in 24 points in a victory at McMurry to open the week and followed with a 14-point, 7-rebound performance as the Cru women topped Hardin-Simmons. She has helped lead the UMHB women to an 11-game winning streak.
Zane Johnston
Men's Basketball
Zane averaged 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as he helped lead the UMHB men to a sweep on the Abilene road trip. Johnston hit 55 per cent of his shots from three-point range and also added six assists and four steals. Zane has started more games and played more minutes than any other member of the Cru this season and he has helped lead the UMHB men to an eight-game winning streak and first place in the ASC West Division.
