Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s basketball player Lindsay Eaton has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Week for the week ending February 7th. Eaton, a junior forward from Lake Travis High School, takes ASC West Division Player of the Week honors for the second straight week. She averaged 22.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in leading the UMHB women to pair of crucial ASC West Division wins last week. Eaton opened the week with a 17-point, seven-rebound performance in the Cru’s 74-60 win over McMurry. She followed with a season-high 27 points and also grabbed five rebounds in an 82-70 win over Hardin-Simmons. Eaton had four assists in each game and also totaled three steals and a blocked shot as the UMHB women stretched their winning streak to 13 consecutive games.

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s basketball team took control of the game in the second half and the Cru women posted an 82-70 victory over Hardin-Simmons University Saturday afternoon in Belton. The win is #13 in a row for the Cru women and moves UMHB’s record to 17-4 overall and 14-3 in American Southwest Conference play. The Cru women also clinch a berth in the ASC Championship Tournament with the victory. The Cowgirls fall to 11-10 overall and 8-9 in the ASC on the season with the loss.

She followed with 14 points and seven rebounds as the Cru topped Hardin-Simmons 68-60 for UMHB’s first victory over the Cowgirls in Abilene. Eaton shot 52 per cent from the field for the week and also blocked a shot as she helped the UMHB women stretch their winning streak to 11 consecutive victories.

The UMHB women have now won ten straight games to hold on to sole possession of first place in the ASC West Division. The loss drops McMurry to 10-7 overall and 7-6 in the ASC on the season.
