Men's golf places two on Academic All-Conference Team
Nordt becomes three-time honoree

Belton, TX—The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s golf team placed two players on the 2010 American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference Golf Team. To be eligible for the Academic All-Conference team, a player must be a sophomore, junior or senior with at least a 3.00 GPA. The player also has to play in more than 50 per cent of the team's contests that season. 

Mike McQuaid
is a sophomore exercise and sport science major from Duncanville High School. Garrison Nordt is a senior business administration major from Midway High School.

This is the third Academic All-Conference honor for Nordt. McQuaid is a first-time ASC Academic All-Conference honoree.

The UMHB men’s golf team finished second at the ASC Championship Tournament this spring. The Cru also won the UMHB Spring Invitational Tournament this spring.

Athletes of the Week
Thomas Orr
Men's Basketball
Thomas hit a pair of clutch free throws with 2.1 seconds left in overtime to give the Cru a 75-73 victory over Hardin-Simmons last week. He averaged 13.0 points per game and added a season-high 15 points to keep UMHB in the game in a narrow 75-71 loss to McMurry University.
Miranda Shorter
Women's Basketball
Miranda averaged 9.5 points per game over two contests last weekend. She is one of just three seniors on this year's team. Miranda has started 16 of the Cru's 17 games and she currently ranks third on the team in scoring.
