UMHB to host summer golf camp

Belton, TX—The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will host a summer golf camp for children ages 7 to 16 this summer. UMHB head men’s golf coach Aaron Rodeffer will conduct the camp with assistance from collegiate players.
            The Cru Golf Camp will emphasize basic skills and techniques for players of different ages and skill levels. The camp will be conducted at Sammons Park Golf Course in Temple. There are separate sessions for ages 7-11 and ages 12-16 and two different weekly sessions.

            The cost of either camp date is $100 per student. The cost of the camp also includes a t-shirt and awards for participants. Registration forms are available in the UMHB athletic office. For more information, please call Coach Aaron Rodeffer at (254) 295-5437.

Thomas Orr
Men's Basketball
Thomas hit a pair of clutch free throws with 2.1 seconds left in overtime to give the Cru a 75-73 victory over Hardin-Simmons last week. He averaged 13.0 points per game and added a season-high 15 points to keep UMHB in the game in a narrow 75-71 loss to McMurry University.
Miranda Shorter
Women's Basketball
Miranda averaged 9.5 points per game over two contests last weekend. She is one of just three seniors on this year's team. Miranda has started 16 of the Cru's 17 games and she currently ranks third on the team in scoring.
