Takes West Division honors for second straight week
Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s basketball player Lindsay Eaton has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Week for the week ending February 7th. Eaton, a junior forward from Lake Travis High School, takes ASC West Division Player of the Week honors for the second straight week. She averaged 22.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in leading the UMHB women to pair of crucial ASC West Division wins last week. Eaton opened the week with a 17-point, seven-rebound performance in the Cru’s 74-60 win over McMurry. She followed with a season-high 27 points and also grabbed five rebounds in an 82-70 win over Hardin-Simmons. Eaton had four assists in each game and also totaled three steals and a blocked shot as the UMHB women stretched their winning streak to 13 consecutive games.
            The Cru women are now 17-4 overall and 14-3 in ASC play on the season. The UMHB women will play the regular season home finale this Thursday when Texas Lutheran comes to the Mayborn Campus Center for a 5:30 PM tip-off. The Cru has a one-game lead over Howard Payne University for first place in the ASC West Division.

Athletes of the Week
Brittany Moreno
Softball
Brittany batted .363 and hit a home run for the Cru in the ASC First Pitch Tournament last weekend in Farmer's Branch. She drove in three runs and scored two more during the week. Her slugging percentage was .727 over the weekend.
Sterling Phillips
Men's Basketball
Sterling was named MVP of the ASC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament after leading the Cru in scoring in all three games. He helped lead the UMHB men to their second ASC Championship in the last three seasons and the Cru also earned its third trip to the NCAA Division III National Championships. Sterling also earned Honorable Mention ASC All-West Division honors this season.
