Softball's Cailtin Wells named to All-Region Team
Caitlin Wells - Third Team All Region Selection
Freshman takes Third Team Honors
Belton, TX - University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball player Caitlin Wells was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's All-West Region Team. Wells, a freshman outfielder from Spring High School, was named to the All-West Region Third Team.

Wells led the Cru with a .348 batting average this season and she also had a team-best 24 RBI. Wells also had a team-high 48 hits and she added four doubles, a triple and six stolen bases. 

The Cru finished 20-20 overall and went 13-11 in American Southwest Conference West Division play. UMHB narrowly missed a berth in the ASC Championship Tournament.

Sterling Phillips
Men's Basketball
Sterling was named MVP of the ASC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament after leading the Cru in scoring in all three games. He helped lead the UMHB men to their second ASC Championship in the last three seasons and the Cru also earned its third trip to the NCAA Division III National Championships. Sterling also earned Honorable Mention ASC All-West Division honors this season.    
Brittany Moreno
Softball
Brittany batted .363 and hit a home run for the Cru in the ASC First Pitch Tournament last weekend in Farmer's Branch. She drove in three runs and scored two more during the week. Her slugging percentage was .727 over the weekend.
