Agrees to terms with Odessa Roughnecks of IFL
Belton, TX – Former University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football player Eric Henri has signed a contract with the Odessa Roughnecks of the Indoor Football League. Henri, a middle linebacker for the Cru, will likely play strong safety for the Roughnecks when the 2010 season opens in the spring.
Henri was a four-year letterman for the Cru football team from Lake Dallas High School. He was a three-time ASC All-Conference selection and earned ASC Defensive Player of the Year honors as a senior. Henri finished his career with 251 total tackles and ranks fifth on UMHB’s all-time list in that category. He also set a UMHB school single-game record with two fumble returns for touchdown against Wesley College and posted a school single-season record with five fumble recoveries in 2008. Henri played for the 2004 NCAA Division III National runners-up and also played for UMHB teams that advanced to the NCAA National Semifinals in 2007 and 2008.
