Football's Tucker earns ASC Special Teams Player of the Week honors

Earns weekly honor for first time this season
Belton, TX – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football player Bryson Tucker has been named American Southwest Conference Co-Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Cru’s 52-10 victory over East Texas Baptist last Saturday. Tucker, a senior running back/defensive back/kick returner from Caldwell High School, scored the game’s first points on a 47-yard punt return. He finished with 51 yards in punt returns, 20 yards on a kickoff return and 46 yards rushing and a touchdown on eight carries to help lead UMHB to the win. Tucker shares the weekly honor with Louisiana College kick returner Jordan Rideaux.
            The Cru is currently 7-1 overall and 5-1 in ASC play. UMHB will hit the road to face Howard Payne University (4-4, 2-4 ASC) in a 2:00 PM kickoff this Saturday in Brownwood. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 38-24 upset victory over Mississippi College yesterday.

Bo Baker
Men's Soccer
Bo scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the Cru's 2-1 season opening victory over Trinity University. UMHB's win snapped the Tigers 52-match regular season home winning streak. He then scored the Cru's only goal in a 2-1 loss at Southwestern University.
Tina Miller
Women's Volleyball
Christina had 23 kills over four matches this past weekend at the U.T.-Tyler Tournament. She led the Cru in kills in three of those matches, including a three-set victory over Jarvis Christian that gave UMHB its first victory of the season.
