Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football team returns to American Southwest Conference play this weekend as the Cru plays host to East Texas Baptist University Saturday for a 1:00 PM kickoff at Tiger Field. UMHB will enter the game with a 6-1 overall record and a 4-1 mark in ASC play. The Cru is also in a must-win situation to keep its hopes alive for an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III National Championships. The Tigers will come into Saturday’s game with a 2-6 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the ASC. UMHB leads the all-time series against ETBU 8-1, but the memory of that one loss, in 2003, still lingers for the Cru.
“They’ve got some very talented players on both sides of the ball,” Cru head coach Pete Fredenburg said. “I think they really consider this to be a big rivalry and the memory of that 2003 loss to them is still pretty horrific for us. Every time we play them it is a real battle for us and I don’t think we will have any trouble getting ready to play against ETBU this weekend.”

There will once again be live video streaming, live audio streaming and live stats available for Saturday’s game. You can access the links for that coverage through the UMHB athletic department web site at www.cruathletics.com.
