Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s tennis team won three titles and lost in the title match of another as the Cru closed out play at the Cru Spring Classic Saturday afternoon in Belton. The UMHB men posted wins at flight two singles, flight three singles and flight one doubles. The Cru also had a player fall in the championship match of flight one singles.

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s basketball team dominated the first half and the Cru never looked back in a 96-68 rout of Hardin-Simmons University Saturday afternoon in Belton. The UMHB men improve to 15-6 overall and 13-4 in American Southwest Conference play. The loss drops the Cowboys to 4-17 overall and 4-13 in the ASC on the season.

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s basketball team took control of the game in the second half and the Cru women posted an 82-70 victory over Hardin-Simmons University Saturday afternoon in Belton. The win is #13 in a row for the Cru women and moves UMHB’s record to 17-4 overall and 14-3 in American Southwest Conference play. The Cru women also clinch a berth in the ASC Championship Tournament with the victory. The Cowgirls fall to 11-10 overall and 8-9 in the ASC on the season with the loss.

Tyler, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team built an early lead and then held off U.T.-Tyler’s comeback bid as the Cru posted a 9-8 victory over the Patriots Friday night in Tyler. UMHB improves to 2-0 on the season with the victory. The loss drops U.T.-Tyler, the defending American Southwest Conference champions, to 0-1 on the year. The game was the opening contest of the Easton Classic Tournament.

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s tennis team opened the spring schedule with a solid performance on the opening day of the UMHB Spring Classic Friday at the Yvonne Li Tennis Center in Belton. The Cru will send five singles players into the finals tomorrow and the UMHB men went 3-0 in doubles play.

Women's Basketball
Lindsay is this week's ASC West Division Player of the Week after averaging 19 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game last week in giving the UMHB women their first-ever two-game sweep on the Abilene road trip. She poured in 24 points in a victory at McMurry to open the week and followed with a 14-point, 7-rebound performance as the Cru women topped Hardin-Simmons. She has helped lead the UMHB women to an 11-game winning streak.
Zane Johnston
Men's Basketball
Zane averaged 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as he helped lead the UMHB men to a sweep on the Abilene road trip. Johnston hit 55 per cent of his shots from three-point range and also added six assists and four steals. Zane has started more games and played more minutes than any other member of the Cru this season and he has helped lead the UMHB men to an eight-game winning streak and first place in the ASC West Division.
